Join us and let’s get started.Job DescriptionAECOM has an immediate opportunity available for a Senior Dams Engineer (RCC) for employment in Panama City, Panama. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conceptual to detailed design of water dams, retarding basins, service basinsPerform as Capture Manager for pre-positioning and preparing proposalsInspection, investigation and condition assessment of existing dams including review and surveillance of monitoring data.Perform Alternatives Analyses, Feasibility Studies, and Detailed Designs with strong knowledge of design drawings and technical specifications.Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.Conduct potential failure mode analyses and risk analyses for water storage and hydropower dams, including identifying and developing potential failure modes, and serving as Independent Consultant or Facilitator in risk analysis workshops.Client liaison and experience with technical review boards.Project management of multidisciplinary teams and the engagement of AECOM’s operations/finance teamsMentoring and technical development of junior staff, supporting them to achieve technical successMakes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsThis vacancy aims to strengthen our talent pool for future opportunities.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationExperience with Roller-compacted concrete (RCC) for construction or repairsRelevant experience with Dam projects including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.Experience in performing inspection, design, and/or engineering activities in dams or water retaining structuresBilingual – English and SpanishPreferred Qualifications15 years or more experience including relevant experience with Dam projects including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.Excellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilitiesExcellent written communications and presentation abilities in internal project settings with the project team, external project stakeholders, and leadership.Additional InformationThis job application is for future opportunities without immediate urgency.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
