Manufacturing Manager, Animal Safety - Mercer

Lead And Innovate In Animal Safety ManufacturingOur client, a leader in solutions for the food, animal protein, and agriculture industries, is seeking a dynamic professional to manage and coordinate activities in their Production department focused on Solution Prep and Packaging of Sample Collection products. This role is based in Lexington, KY, and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the food supply chain.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate with planning and warehouse teams to ensure input inventory aligns with production schedules.Collaborate with Shift Supervisors to develop labor plans that match production needs.Draft, revise, and enforce standard operational practices, ensuring compliance and efficiency.Interpret specifications and job orders, assigning tasks to the team accordingly.Participate in recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee management.Investigate and resolve product-related customer complaints.Recommend and implement improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Analyze work problems, assisting workers in problem-solving and motivating them to achieve goals.Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.Act as the Plant Manager in their absence.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and support organizational goals.Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a deep understanding of manufacturing procedures.Proven experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies.Strong ability to interface with management for departmental development.High school diploma or GED equivalent required.At Talent Wave Associates, we connect outstanding talent with exceptional opportunities.
