Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtains, monitors, and responds to physiological data; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Administers medications as prescribed and delivers competent, specialized patient care
• Communicates care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Oversees and delegates tasks to technicians and support staff

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program preferred
• Prior experience in IR/Special Procedures or a related specialty area
• Ability to function independently in an assigned specialty area following orientation
