Paraprofessional Facilitator (Teletherapy Support)

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour

Hours: Full-Time | 35 Hours/Week | Monday – Friday

Caseload: K–12 (Grade preferences noted, flexibility required)

Status: Starts as a substitute assignment with steady full-time hours (flexibility required)

We are hiring a full-time Paraprofessional Facilitator to support K–12 special education students receiving virtual therapy sessions in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will bridge the gap between students and their online therapists by managing technology, guiding student focus, and keeping sessions running smoothly onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort students to and from scheduled virtual therapy sessions.

• Set up computers, log students in, prepare session materials, and assist with basic technical troubleshooting.

• Remain present during virtual sessions to encourage participation, maintain attention, and manage classroom behavior.

• Follow directions provided by the remote teletherapist to support student goals.

• Track attendance and communicate any scheduling, technology, or student concerns to the team.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Previous school-based or special education experience preferred.

• Technical Skills: Comfortable using computers, joining virtual meetings, and troubleshooting basic tech issues.

• Transportation & Clearance: Must have reliable transportation and complete all DPSCD district clearances, free fingerprints, and required facilitator training.
