Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology. Location: Hampton, VA. Work shift: Third (Nights). Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Qualifications Virginia or Compact Multi‑State RN license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. RN‑Associate’s Degree, RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, RN‑Diploma, or RN‑Master’s Degree. Responsibilities Assess, admit, and provide overall care for patients, conduct rounds and checkups. Administer medications, including chemotherapy/biotherapy drug administration (certification required after 6‑month hire). Provide pre‑ and post‑surgical care, hospice and palliative care, and sickle cell management. Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members. The unit is a 16‑bed Medical Oncology unit specializing in solid tumor oncology, hematology oncology, and surgical oncology patients. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plans.
