Overview
Registered Nurse – CCU, Burlington, VT, start 11/02/2026 for a 16-week travel assignment with weekly pay $2,510-$2,659 and guaranteed hours 0.0. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). Work setting involves an ICU float pool with central pool ICU coverage, primarily Medical ICU and overflow neuro, with float coverage to SICU and Miller 3/Miller 4 as needed. The role requires acute care nursing skills across multi-system disease states, including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, and neurosurgical populations, with responsibilities such as initiating IVs, managing multiple titrating drips, and ventilator care, including complex support when necessary. EPIC experience is required, and the assignment involves flexibility with scheduling and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care in the ICU float pool, including patient assessment, monitoring, and escalation of care as needed
- Initiate IV access and manage multiple titrating drips, ventilator care, and complex hemodynamic management
- Adapt care plans for patients with multi-system disease and complex needs (e.g., post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, neurosurgery)
- Perform care across units outside the primary pod, including SICU and Miller 3/Miller 4, maintaining high standards of safety and documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, respond to emergencies, and support patient trajectory through critical illness
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including working at least every other weekend and adjusting to unit needs

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; NIHSS required prior to start; CCRN preferred
- EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last 2 years
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to SICU, Miller 3, Miller 4, and other similarly skilled ICU areas
- Active RN license (state to be verified) and eligibility to practice in the listed region
- Comfort working in a high-acuity, high-volume teaching environment with complex patient populations
