Finisher - Commercial Concrete (Missouri)

Responsibilities Strike off with experience straight edge techniques; float and finish concrete. Finish surfaces of poured concrete slabs using hand tools or power trowel machines. Set and place forms to proper elevations for floors or site work. Cut joints/grooves in concrete with hand tools, as well as layout by setting string lines. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or Equivalent. At least three years previous experience as a journeyman – concrete finisher. Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction or contracting industry with a good work ethic. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good attitude. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; trainable. Strong attention to detail; take pride in work. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Working Conditions Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time up to ten (10) hours per day. Must be eligible to join the local Union, as required. Exposure to the elements – heat, cold, rain, wind. Must work safe at all times. This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement. According to the terms of the CBA, applicants who are selected will be required to join the appropriate union with a certain period after hire.
