Experienced Oncology Infusion NursesIt's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Always Compassionate Health is seeking highly experienced Home Infusion Registered Nurses to provide chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic, and other advanced infusion therapies in patients' homes throughout Suffolk County.This opportunity is specifically intended for RNs with at least 3–4 years of recent, hands-on chemotherapy and immunotherapy experience and a current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or applicable ONCC certification.Our infusion nurses partner with patients, families, pharmacies, physicians, and our internal Infusion Intake Team to provide safe, coordinated care from admission through treatment and follow-up.Required QualificationsActive, unrestricted New York State RN license and registrationMinimum of 3–4 years of recent chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration experienceCurrent ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or applicable ONCC certificationRecent infusion experience in home care, oncology, an infusion center, hospital, clinic, or comparable clinical settingDemonstrated competency administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and other complex infusion therapiesStrong venous-access and central-line management skillsCurrent BLS certification; ACLS preferredAbility to independently assess patients, recognize adverse reactions, and initiate appropriate interventionsReliable transportation for field-based patient visitsComfort using electronic, paperless clinical documentationClinical Skills and ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nursing assessments in the patient's homeReview and accurately interpret physicians' orders and treatment plansPrepare and administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic medications, and prescribed infusion therapiesMonitor patients before, during, and after treatmentRecognize and respond appropriately to infusion reactions and other clinical changesPerform peripheral IV insertion and phlebotomyAccess and manage PICCs, midlines, central venous catheters, and implanted portsPerform central-line dressing changes and provide line maintenanceEducate patients and caregivers regarding treatment, medication administration, side effects, safety precautions, and when to contact the clinical teamCommunicate with patients, families, infusion pharmacies, physicians, and internal clinical staffComplete accurate and timely electronic clinical documentationPerform follow-up visits and ongoing assessments as orderedPrecept or evaluate newly hired infusion nurses when requestedPreferred QualificationsOCN®, BMTCN®, CBCN®, or another relevant ONCC credentialHome-infusion nursing experienceIVIG/SCIG experienceSupervisory, preceptor, or clinical-education experienceCompetency accessing implanted ports, including MediPortsExperience working independently with medically complex patientsEmployment DocumentationSelected candidates must provide all required employment and clinical documentation, including:NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration CertificateBLS necessary/ACLS preferredUp-to-date medical, inclusive of Physical, TB Clearance/QuantiFERON Gold blood test, 2-step PPD or T-Spot, or Chest X-ray and Habituation StatementMMR-Varicella Titers Lab Report or Vaccination RecordsTDAP Vaccine - Hep B Vaccination Series, Titers OR DeclinationUrine Drug Screen (UDS) - within the last 2 months is acceptable.Flu Vaccination (if applicable) or DeclinationTwo (2) forms of government-approved ID to validate employment eligibilityTwo (2) satisfactory professional referencesMalpractice InsuranceReliable transportationCompensation$50.00+ per hour base rateIndividual cases may pay $60–$150+, depending on the therapy, clinical complexity, required competencies, and level of care provided.Schedule Your InterviewIf you are an experienced chemotherapy and immunotherapy nurse ready to provide specialized care in the home, we would like to speak with you.Interested?
