Registered Nurse Float Pool

Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the House Supervisor, according to hospital policies and procedures, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for her/his assigned patients. Responsibilities Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for assigned patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evidence‑based practices and clinical guidelines. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. Qualifications Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or an active compact license. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in hospital nursing patient care. Education: High school graduate equivalency, or associate, bachelor, or master’s degree in nursing or related field; preferred MSN completion. Required certifications upon hire: Basic Life Support (BLS). Within 90 days: Current BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Acute Care (ACLS/ALS) per policy. For stroke patients: Annual NIHSS, 8 hours of stroke education per year, and completion of the mandatory stroke core measure module. Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
