In this role, you will provide expert perianesthesia nursing care across pre-operative preparation, post-anesthesia recovery, and Phase II discharge readiness. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary surgical team dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgical or procedural interventions • Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, assessing airway patency, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness • Administer analgesics, antiemetics, and other post-operative medications per physician orders and unit protocols • Identify and respond promptly to post-anesthesia complications such as respiratory depression, hypotension, or agitation • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic health record • Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions and discharge criteria • Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and surgical team members to ensure seamless transitions of care ✅ Requirements • Active ME or Compact RN license • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications • 2+ years of PACU/Pre-Post Op Registered Nurse (RN) experience Pay Pay range: $2,124 to $2,196 per week. Travel PACU/Pre-Post Op RN package: up to $2,196/week (36 hours) = $36/hour taxable + up to $900/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules. Local package: $59/hour fully taxable ($2,124/week for 36 hours). Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
