General Manager

R&R BBQ is growing, and we're looking for experienced restaurant leaders to grow with us. With new markets on the horizon, we're building a bench of strong General Managers ready to lead our current restaurants and help launch the next ones. Whether you join one of our established locations or step into a new opening, this is a chance to get in early with a brand on the move.

With the help of our world-class training program, you'll continually develop and master new skills you can use on and off the job. As we expand, our GMs will have real opportunities to advance into multi-unit and new-market leadership roles.

The General Manager position comes with a starting salary of $65,000 to $75,000 , bonus compensation of up to $13,000 , and generous perks and benefits, including health insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• At least 21 years old
• Proven track record of developing team members
• Desire to grow with a rapidly expanding brand

A DAY IN THE LIFE
You'll lead up to 50 dynamic team members who look to you for guidance, motivation, and real-talk mentorship. You'll maintain high food, health, and safety standards, drive efficient and profitable restaurant performance, and make the most of your staff and resources, all while making sure every guest leaves happy.

• Oversee daily execution of the R&R BBQ brand
• Serve as the point of contact for all guest service matters
• Ensure quality food is prepared according to proper procedures and R&R BBQ standards
• Assess and communicate the restaurant's hiring needs, and follow established hiring processes for all employees
• Complete all new-hire paperwork and onboarding within required deadlines
• Train crew professionally and profitably using R&R BBQ policies and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and provide one-on-one mentoring
• Administer and document verbal warnings, write-ups, and Performance Improvement Plans as needed
• Develop crew members and shift leaders into future leaders who can support new restaurant openings
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of all menu items
• Lead monthly meetings with all crew members
• Drive profitability by monitoring daily and weekly sales and cost-control figures
• Keep the restaurant organized with proper food rotation and cleanliness procedures
• Order all food, paper, chemical, and other supplies needed to run the restaurant
• Record and organize invoices
• Build weekly schedules that fit the forecast and needs of the restaurant
• Ensure all crew members follow company policies and procedures
• Follow all company standards for health, safety, sanitation, and security
• Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation policies and procedures
• Send weekly update reports to the District Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

WHO WE ARE
R&R BBQ started as a hobby. Our founders were barbecuing for friends and family and soon entered competitions around Salt Lake City. Win after win led them to regional contests, which qualified them to compete in the largest contests in the country, where they placed among the top teams. The first R&R BBQ storefront opened in downtown Salt Lake City in 2013, followed two years later by our South Jordan location.

Today we have 12 restaurants across two states, and we're preparing for rapid growth into new markets. Our recipes, spice rubs, sauces, and smoking techniques haven't changed since our competition days, and neither has our goal: to win our most important contest every day by pleasing every guest.
