Facility: Wythe County Community Hospital Job Description: Are you an experienced Ultrasound Technologist looking for a new opportunity? Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a technologist at our hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing top-quality patient care. Responsibilities Under the direction of a director or other supervisor, assume responsibility and accountability for producing diagnostic procedures on anatomical regions following accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site radiologist. Maintain a safe environment for patients and conduct patient education as necessary. Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality. Collaborate with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for patients. Utilize established policies and procedures of WCCH (Wythe County Community Hospital) and maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. Recognize and assess changes in mental and/or physical conditions that may result in life-threatening conditions. Qualifications Licensure capable in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Sonographer. Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) designated ARRT (S), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) designated RDMS, or equivalent certification. ARDMS(S) plus ARDS (RVS) and/or RDCS preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. At least one year of previous experience in Sonography strongly preferred. Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates the need. Will be available to report to the facility within 60 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by the Department Director or Administrator on call. Competitive compensation package. $15,000 sign-on bonus for experienced ultrasound techs. Staff referral bonus available for this position.
