About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid State License (Compact) must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of charge experience preferred Telemetry, PCU, or similar experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in PCU and Telemetry. The candidate will float between units as needed. Weekends are required, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds. The dress code is solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel. Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. References covering the last year are required. Candidates may float between nearby facilities if required. The environment is fast-paced and will require managing cardiac drips. The unit works closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapy. The focus is on providing high-quality care and achieving the best outcomes for patients. The electronic health record system in use is EPIC. Endorsement to float and flexibility with scheduling is crucial for success in this role.
