About the Opportunity A Dishwasher at Drake's plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the kitchen. This position is responsible for washing and sanitizing all tableware, cookware, and equipment, as well as keeping the dish room clean, orderly, and fully stocked. Dishwashers support the culinary and service teams by ensuring they have the tools they need to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role. Core Responsibilities Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure constant availability of clean service ware. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dish room throughout service, ensuring equipment and work areas remain orderly. Clean and care for kitchen machines and appliances such as mixers, pots, pans, sheet trays, and other cookware. Support kitchen readiness by cleaning cook stations and preparing the back-of-house for the next shift. Assist with receiving, unloading, and properly storing deliveries as needed. Sweep and mop kitchen and dish room floors, especially when spills or breakages occur, maintaining a safe work environment. Remove trash, recycle appropriately, and rinse out garbage cans to uphold sanitation standards. Support the broader restaurant team by assisting with additional cleaning or organizational tasks as needed. Report any kitchen accidents, equipment issues, or food safety concerns to leadership promptly. Execute end-of-night closing duties, including shutting down, cleaning, and maintaining the dish machine. Help ensure the restaurant is clean and guest-ready by assisting with tasks such as cleaning dining room floors, patios, and restrooms before business hours. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Strong work ethic with a reliable, positive attitude and willingness to support the team. Good organizational skills with strong time-management and the ability to stay efficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to follow standard kitchen operating procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment guidelines. Knowledge of basic safety standards and a commitment to complying with all food safety and sanitation procedures. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workspace. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist with additional tasks across the kitchen when needed. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food handler certification as required by state and local agencies.
