This role reports directly to the Site Controller and plays a key part in supporting both manufacturing operations and business development efforts. The Cost Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current product costs, evaluate sales data, and develop accurate pricing models for new business opportunities.What you'll get to doAnalyze and maintain standard costs for products, including materials, labor, and overheadPartner with manufacturing teams to review production processes, identify cost drivers, and recommend efficienciesEvaluate current cost structures and sales data to support pricing strategies and profitability analysisDevelop detailed cost estimates and pricing models for new business proposals and customer quotesMonitor and report on cost variances, including material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorptionSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to inventory and cost accountingAssist in budgeting and forecasting activities, particularly related to cost of goods sold and manufacturing expensesEnsure accuracy of inventory valuation and compliance with accounting standardsCollaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to align cost assumptions and business strategiesContinuously improve costing methodologies and reporting toolsWhat you bring to the teamBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience in contract manufacturing or design-to-build environments is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailProficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsAbility to communicate effectively across departments and present financial insights clearlyStrong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accountingWe want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operateRe:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
