Patient Care Specialist (Front Desk) - Miami Beach Urgent Care Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at our Miami Beach location. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. We have part-time/per diem positions open now. Responsibilities: Patient Advocate: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, putting them at ease during a potentially stressful time. Actively listen to their concerns and answer questions clearly and concisely. Registration Expert: Efficiently register new and returning patients, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance coverage and communicate any co-pay or deductible requirements. Scheduling Maestro: Coordinate patient appointments for urgent care needs, ensuring efficient flow and minimal wait times. Manage the check-in process to streamline patient flow. Communication Hub: Clearly communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members regarding appointments, wait times, and updates. Answer phone calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Administrative Ace: Maintain accurate medical records and billing information within our electronic health record system. Process payments efficiently and handle financial transactions with accuracy. Team Player: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk. Safety Champion: Maintain a clean and sanitized environment for patients and staff, following all infection control protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced healthcare or customer service environment (preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn new software programs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingualism (English/Spanish) a strong plus. Positive attitude, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
