Faculty Physician, Blood & Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapy

Department Overview The Oregon Health & Science University - Knight Cancer Institute is an international leader in research and cancer treatment, advancing personalized cancer medicine and early detection to improve outcomes for patients. Function/Duties of Position The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service, and will be a member of the Adult Blood & Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy Programs, Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology. Duties Daily clinical management of inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy patients with an emphasis on clinical management of allogeneic & autologous transplant recipients as well as patients receiving immune effector cell therapy including CAR T-cells, TILS and other immune populations; shared responsibility for on-call coverage; case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams; coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient; fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and organizations; cooperation with clinical trial and data management/registry teams; development and participation in clinical trials; participation in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair. Required Qualifications MD or MD/PhD Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon Board certified in Internal Medicine Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates the background, focus and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patients in a clinical research environment Proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, history of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research Additional Details As a OHSU faculty member, you will have access to robust and competitive benefits for well-being and peace of mind.
