Operations Coordinator - Part-Time IC, Hybrid Remote Company: Makai Inc. Location: Hybrid remote with occasional in-office tasks in Torrance, CA Job Type: Part-time independent contractor Schedule: Flexible, up to 25 hours per week Pay: $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience About the Role Makai Inc., an award-winning Los Angeles experiential agency, is looking for a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to help keep experiential marketing programs running smoothly. This flexible, part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative support, vendor coordination, problem-solving, and keeping multiple program details organized in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will help support client activation's, internal teams, and day-to-day program execution. What You’ll Do Coordinate and process daily operational details across multiple active programs. Partner with vendors and internal client services teams to keep projects organized, on track, and administratively well-supported. Assist with the development of creative client presentations, including preparing initial drafts, reviewing materials with Account Managers, and making revisions as needed. Support administrative workflows, including preparing performance reports, answering calls, reconciling promotion team expense reports, and submitting and approving brand ambassador work hours for payroll. What We’re Looking For Experience in administrative support, experiential marketing, event production, or a related operations-focused environment. A proactive, resourceful mindset with strong follow-through and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and accuracy. Confidence communicating clearly and consistently with management, vendors, internal teams, and other stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong internet research skills. A positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities shift. Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
