Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-2nd grade students with social and emotional needs. This contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year offers the chance to work full-time in a dynamic and responsive educational setting near Woonsocket, RI.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with K-2nd grade students in a special education setting
• Demonstrated skill in addressing social and emotional challenges in young children
• Strong collaborative abilities with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting social and emotional growth
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to create a supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and support staff to support holistic student development
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families to encourage engagement and progress
• Assess student needs and track progress through data collection and documentation
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
