Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview Position: Maintenance Mechanics – 3rd shift (Graveyard) at Mr. Dell’s Foods, LLC. Location: Kearney MO Plant – Kearney, MO 64060. Role: Perform all mechanical work, including dismantling, overhauling, repairing, assembling, welding, and other modifications, to keep production running. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and daily inspections. Perform work on electrical and refrigeration systems. Lift or maneuver objects up to 50 pounds. Be available for maintenance emergencies as needed. Operate proper electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic hand tools such as drills, impact wrenches, and power saws. Use tape measures, scales, rulers, height sticks, hand levels, or gauges – high precision is not essential. Use electronic scales, balances, voltmeters, micrometers, gauges, metering devices or oscilloscopes where high precision is essential. Operate motorized vehicles, automobiles, light duty trucks, scooters, overhead hoists, skid loaders or airlifts. Operate acetylene torches for cutting and shaping metal. Maintain a positive attitude, effort, and attendance. Qualifications High School diploma or trade school completion. At least 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably in a production setting. Completion of welding, electrical and refrigeration courses is preferred. Training in welding, refrigeration, electrical, and electronics is advantageous.
