Position : Lab Specialist
Location : 200 Ballardvale Street Wilmington MA USA 01887
Contract : 12+ months.
Shift : 1 st Shift – Mon – Fri 8AM - 5PM
Pay Rate : $28/hr. on W2.
Description:
Duties for a Lab Specialist:
Run Monthly Lab Organizations Meetings to address concerns and share information
Waste Management
o Manage waste streams
o Schedule Triumvirate waste pick ups
Chemical Inventory
o Manage existing and new chemicals coming into the Wilmington lab
Ordering Management
o Placing and receiving orders for common supplies and consumables
Inventory Management
o Ensuring sufficient stock of consumables are available in the lab
Coordinating vendor visits in the lab
Manage Service Contracts
Work with Procurement to renew contracts
Manage new equipment and CapEx purchases
Work with Procurement to ensure quotes have the best pricing possible
Equipment Maintenance
• Perform Daily, Monthly, Yearly Maintenance
PM Management
Calibration Management
Troubleshooting equipment
Shipping and Receiving
Coordination of Customer visit to Wilmington Lab 360
Lab Coat management
Learn NGS library prep workflows to assist in manual testing
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a science related field
Lab experience preferred
