Position: Physical Therapist-Physical Therapy I/P Float (Job ID: 37235) Location: MetroHealth Old Brooklyn Campus Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: Days, Tuesday‑Saturday Summary Evaluates and treats patients by physical measures and the use of therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation procedures (with or without assistive devices) for the purpose of preventing, correcting, or alleviating disabilities. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or post‑graduate certificate in Physical Therapy from a school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Holds a Physical Therapist licensure in the State of Ohio Possesses current BLS certification, or obtains within 90 days of hire Ability to travel to satellite locations Preferred: Membership in the APTA Physical Requirements Ability to walk without assistive device and maintain balance to support patient during ambulation and/or gait training Ability to lift and reach with arms to lift patient’s arm or leg during exercise program Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension or monitor patient’s pulse Visual acuity to observe patient’s gross movement, gait, etc., to analyze biomechanical problems Ability to speak clearly for instructing patients and families who may not read Ability to hear or understand patient descriptions of symptoms and response to treatment Frequently (25‑75% of the time) performed tasks: standing, sitting with/without back support, walking, reaching (overhead, forward, lateral, low), crouching, balancing, lifting 5‑25 pounds, carrying 5‑10 pounds, and pushing up to 75 pounds Occasionally (5‑25% of the time) performed tasks: stooping, climbing, lifting or moving 24‑50 pounds, carrying 10‑25 pounds, and operating power tools and machinery #J-18808-Ljbffr The MetroHealth System
