Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Temporary Physical Therapist Position

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide outpatient therapy services in Damariscotta, ME. This temporary, structured assignment supports the primary outpatient team during summer coverage and emphasizes efficient, patient-centered care. The role includes a predictable weekday schedule, built-in documentation time, and an approximate caseload of 10 patients per day. Candidates will deliver skilled evaluations and treatment, complete documentation and billing on the day of service, and finalize discharge documentation within 24 hours of discharge or notification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Maine Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience providing outpatient physical therapy services, including evaluations and treatment planning.
• Ability to complete documentation and billing on the day services are delivered.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with an outpatient rehabilitation team to ensure continuity of care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in outpatient hospital-based clinics.
• Comfort managing a caseload of approximately 10 patients per day with 45-minute treatment/evaluation sessions.
• Experience with scheduled documentation workflows and efficient electronic medical record use.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 08001630.
• Days: MondayFriday.
• Treatment model: 45-minute evaluations and treatment sessions with 30 minutes of scheduled documentation time built into the day.
• Caseload: Approximately 10 patients per day.
• Summer coverage assignment. Vacation requests during the week of July 4th cannot be approved.
