Base pay range $25.00/hr - $37.00/hr Direct message the job poster from KRC Machine Tool Solutions The Machine Tool Mechanic will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with servicing, repairing, or operation of most CNC machine tools. Use precision test equipment to analyze, troubleshoot,t and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems. Advanced operation of CNC controls from different manufacturers. Successfully coordinate and complete the installation of all machine tools. Work closely with customers, vendors, OEMs, and other KRC personnel. Extensive travel with limited notice. Independently organize and complete a successful service call. Assist other service engineers and preventive maintenance technicians. General scraping and fitting of machine tool components (not mandatory but improves your value). Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitry to component level. Perform a variety of advanced specialized machine tool repair processes.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

Dismantle and prepare machines for shipment. Level and alignment of machines. Troubleshoot and repair of major machine tool problems. Disassemble, repair, and rebuild machine tool subassemblies and assemblies. Organize, ta,g, and mark components for future assembly. Identify, repair,r or replace damaged components. Report activities and expenses in a timely and accurately Train other employees for advancement. Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized. Travel to customer’s facilities. Work with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned.

INSTRUCTIONS, METHODS AND PROCEDURES USED:

Work assignment via dispatched Work Orders. Most technical instruction will come from fellow Equipment Repair technicians, Equipment Repair Leads or OEM support personnel, OEM Maintenance Manuals or Training class documentation. RELATIONS TO OTHERS: Customer relations – Production Management and operators. OEM relations – Management, maintenance support, parts personnel. KRC relations – Maintenance Management, purchasing support, internal Administration, Equipment Repair Leads, Other Equipment Repair Technicians, Preventative Maintenance, and assembly technicians. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB:

Advanced machine tool knowledge and terminology. 3 or more years of experience in machine tool field service. Complete knowledge of mechanical systems and components. Full understanding of multiple machine tool specifications and have an advanced knowledge of test equipment. Mechanical hand tools and toolbox. Basic knowledge of hand tools and some power tools. The ability to do the final scrape and or fitting of most machine tool components is desirable (not mandatory). Excellent interpersonal skills. Advanced troubleshooting abilities. Standing for long periods. Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping. Able to travel up to 30% of the time (will travel to the client's site when the machine is completed and ready to be set up at the client's site) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires minimum one-year mechanical background with CNC equipment repair noted above. Must be willing to work in a repetitive production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality, and schedule requirements. The ability to work as a team player as well as independently is required.
