Marketing & Administrative Coordinator

The Marketing & Administrative Coordinator plays a key support role for a county organization, with a strong focus on promoting members, events, and programs through digital content, social media, and direct communication. This individual also manages front desk operations and assists with general administrative duties. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about supporting local businesses through meaningful marketing and engagement strategies. Key Responsibilities: Marketing & Digital Communications Create and implement digital content strategies to highlight members, including business spotlights, ribbon cuttings, testimonials, and member milestones. Plan, create, and publish content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Design flyers, promotional graphics, and announcements using Canva or similar tools. Maintain and update the website with member profiles, news, and event listings. Draft and distribute the Quarterly Membership Directory and assist with special announcements. Take and edit photos at events and business visits; manage a digital content library. Support sponsorship recognition and develop content to promote sponsors and member services. Track engagement analytics and recommend strategies to improve visibility and reach. Administrative & Office Support Serve as the primary front desk contact during business hours: greet visitors, answer phones, and respond to general inquiries. Provide administrative support including document prep, scheduling, and recordkeeping. Process member dues and event payments; assist with accounts receivable using QuickBooks. Maintain member records and communication in the ChamberMaster system. Prepare materials for board and committee meetings and take minutes as needed. Monitor and manage office and promotional supply inventory. Perform other professional duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support organizational goals. Event & Member Support Assist in the planning and execution of events (luncheons, ribbon cuttings, networking events, etc.). Support event logistics including registration, promotional materials, and setup. Attend events to gather marketing content and engage with members. Assist in the development and implementation of member recruitment and retention efforts. Help identify and promote opportunities for member collaboration and visibility. Qualifications: High school diploma required; associate or bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or business preferred. 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, customer service, or administrative support. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Canva, Constant Contact, and social media platforms. Familiarity with QuickBooks and ChamberMaster (or similar CRM) is a plus. Self-starter with excellent time management and attention to detail. Friendly, professional demeanor and commitment to community engagement. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work occasional evenings or weekends. Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, bend, or lift up to 25 lbs for office or event needs.
