Role Description The Electrical Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Newark, NJ. This position oversees daily electrical work on assigned projects, including planning tasks, assigning work to electricians and apprentices, and ensuring installations meet code, safety standards, and project specifications. The Electrical Foreman reviews drawings and plans, coordinates materials and equipment, and manages timelines to keep projects on schedule. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising electrical wiring and installation, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, documenting work progress, and communicating with project managers, site supervisors, and clients. The role also involves enforcing safety procedures, training team members on best practices, and participating in inspections and quality checks. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong technical skills in electricity and electrical engineering principles. Candidates should possess practical experience in electrical contracting and managing electrical projects. Candidates should possess hands‑on skills in electrical wiring and installation in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Candidates should possess effective troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues and system faults. Relevant journeyperson or master electrician license (or equivalent) and thorough knowledge of local and national electrical codes. Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role, including team leadership, scheduling, and coordination with other trades. Strong focus on safety, familiarity with OSHA regulations, and commitment to safe work practices.
