Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) to join our Sterile Processing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of medical instruments and supplies used in the Operating Room. This is a full-time position with evening shifts.

Multiple locations within the region, specifically in [City, State].

Shift Length: 10 hours

Scheduled Shifts: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Call Requirements: 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday every 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of medical instruments.
• Utilize ultrasonic and VPRO systems for cleaning and sterilization processes.
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure prompt and accurate instrument availability.
• Participate in orientation and training sessions as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA or CBSPD.
• At least 1 year of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Experience in utilizing sterilization equipment and processes.

• Common Cases Handled: Orthopedic, Spine, Robotic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, ENT
• Number of Suites: 9

• Orientation: Comprehensive unit-specific orientation provided.
• Self-Scheduling: Employees have options for self-scheduling.
• Dress Code: Blue (Ceil) scrubs.
• Response Time for Call: 30 minutes.
