The Fine Dining Bartender at The Twenty Two is responsible for delivering an exceptional, polished, and personalized beverage experience for guests at the bar and throughout the dining room. This position combines expert beverage preparation with attentive, professional hospitality and is responsible for executing cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.

The Fine Dining Bartender serves as an ambassador of The Twenty Two's beverage program and brand standards, demonstrating strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, ingredients, and proper service techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a refined service style, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while maintaining an efficient and organized bar operation. Bartenders work closely with front- and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service, exceptional quality, and a memorable guest experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and beverage program specifications.
• Execute classic and signature cocktails accurately, consistently, and efficiently using proper techniques and house recipes.
• Demonstrate proper cocktail preparation, presentation, garnishing, and glassware standards.
• Provide polished, attentive, and personalized service to guests at the bar and throughout the dining areas.
• Greet guests warmly and engage professionally, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere.
• Establish rapport with guests while maintaining an appropriate level of attentiveness and discretion.
• Present beverage menus, explain cocktail and beverage selections, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and appropriate food and beverage pairings.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide attentive service without being intrusive.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of beverage tickets while maintaining proper service flow.
• Coordinate closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, bar support, and management to ensure accurate timing and seamless beverage service.
• Communicate special requests, modifications, allergies, dietary restrictions, and guest preferences appropriately to the service and culinary teams.
• Maintain quality control of bar ingredients, garnishes, juices, syrups, infusions, prepared items, and other beverage components through regular checks.
• Ensure all beverage components meet established standards for freshness, quality, presentation, and proper storage.
• Assist with managing bar service during high-volume periods while maintaining the quality and consistency expected of a fine dining establishment.
• Maintain a calm, polished, and organized demeanor during peak service periods.
• Accurately process guest transactions using the POS system, including cash and credit card payments.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including completion of bar checklists, side work, stocking, station setup, breakdown, and securing the bar.
• Monitor bar inventory and communicate weekly liquor, produce, mixers, garnishes, and dry-goods needs to management as directed.
• Support training and mentorship of fellow bartenders and front-of-house team members as directed.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally, exercising sound judgment and involving management when appropriate.
• Support overall restaurant service operations to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of The Twenty Two's policies, procedures, beverage program, service standards, and hospitality expectations.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, tastings, and other scheduled meetings.
• Adhere to posted schedules and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of The Twenty Two's food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Demonstrate comprehensive working knowledge of the beverage program, including spirits, classic and signature cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and appropriate pairings.
• Understand the characteristics, flavor profiles, and proper service of commonly offered spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails.
• Maintain knowledge of cocktail ingredients, house preparations, garnishes, glassware, and presentation standards.
• Be able to confidently explain beverage selections and make recommendations based on guest preferences, menu selections, and occasions.
• Maintain awareness of common food allergies and dietary restrictions and communicate concerns appropriately to the culinary and management teams.
• Remain informed of menu and beverage program changes, seasonal offerings, and new products or ingredients.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
