Job Description:

The Med Surg/Ortho unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing care for patients with common diagnoses such as total joint replacements and managing set rate drips like pain medications, antibiotics, and blood.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as spine and neck surgeries.
• Work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, supported by charge nurses and patient care techs.
• Coordinate care with tele/monitor techs who interpret Tele strips.

Requirements:

• BLS Certification required
• Pass an open book skills exam with a score of 90% during orientation
• Driver's license required for verification of home address distance
• No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas
