Description:
The Program Manager, Career Center leads the operations, staff, partnerships, customer experience, and workforce-development activities of an assigned Success Centers Career Center. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Program Manager connects jobseekers with pathways to employment and economic mobility while helping employers access talent, staffing support, workforce resources, and business services.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage day-to-day Career Center operations and ensure high-quality service delivery and customer experience.
- Supervise assigned staff and make recommendations regarding staffing and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain employer, community, training, and public-sector partnerships.
- Connect community talent to employer demand and develop talent pipelines that support employer recruitment needs.
- Help employers access talent, staffing support, workforce resources, and business services.
- Monitor program performance and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the Career Center’s impact and sustainability.
- Exercise independent judgment within delegated authority and recommend improvements to partnerships, service delivery, employer engagement, and programs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of four to six years of progressively responsible professional experience in workforce development, program management, administration, community services, business services, or a related field.
- Experience managing staff and overseeing program or site operations.
- Experience in workforce development required.
- Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area workforce-development community strongly preferred.
