Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at a healthcare facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves performing technical imaging examinations and complex, specialized procedures utilizing advanced imaging equipment and systems. The role requires working independently across various patient age groups and locations, ensuring quality imaging, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 8-hour and 12-hour shifts: Friday 11:00 PM 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, Monday 11:00 PM 7:00 AM.

• Required Qualifications:

  • Certifications: ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) or ARMRIT Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist certification required
  • Education: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Experience: 2 years of clinical experience in MRI, including inpatient and outpatient settings; strong knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment
  • Location: Wisconsin, Madison within 50 miles of the facility; valid for candidates meeting local rule criteria without being considered local candidates
  • Additional: BLS certification required

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GE MRI systems within the last 18-24 months
  • Experience with chest PE pulmonary embolism exam MRA (preferred for PM and weekend shifts)
  • Patient ratio experience, charting system experience (preferably Epic), and trauma level II experience

• Additional Information:

  • Travelers are required to float as needed
  • Must meet strict pass/fail testing criteria including a telemetry exam prior to start
  • No education verification required for travelers due to certification requirements
  • Parking permit required through UW Transportation; alternative transportation options available
