Job Overview

East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA), a council of governments, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Accountant to support the financial operations of the organization. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and supporting the agency's mission through effective fiscal management.

Position Summary

The Finance Accountant is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, grant tracking, and general ledger maintenance. This role supports monthly and annual financial close processes, budgeting activities, audits, and reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
