Project Manager Data Center Healthcare

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with Data Center or Healthcare build experience for a GC in Virginia. Our client is a growing commercial general contractor headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, specializing in high-quality construction management, tenant improvements, healthcare facilities, mission critical environments, and commercial interior projects throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia region.

Position Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mission critical construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This individual will have extensive experience managing healthcare facilities, data centers, or other complex, technically demanding commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels in client communication, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mission critical construction projects simultaneously.
• Lead projects from pre-construction through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement logs, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and value engineering opportunities.
• Manage project buyout and subcontract negotiations.
• Monitor project costs and proactively identify budget risks.
• Lead weekly owner meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying future business opportunities.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience managing mission critical construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience with: Data Centers, Healthcare Facilities, Mission Critical Infrastructure.
• Experience working for a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with: Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

• OSHA 30 Certification
• LEED Accreditation
• Design-Build experience
• Experience managing occupied renovations
• Experience with electrical and mechanical-intensive facilities
