Medical Assistant (MA) OR Athletic Trainer (ATC)Location(s): Must be willing to travel to multiple site locations: Elgin, Algonquin, Barrington, IL. Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) - may include evenings and a rotating Saturday Pay Range (depending on experience): MA from $18.00/hour; CMA from $20.00/hour; ATC from $25.00/hourSummaryResponsible to provide administrative and clinical assistance including patient preparation and pre-screening, equipment preparation and performing patient care in a clinic setting. This position may also do some light scribing for medical providers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Verify patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.Prepare patient for examination by performing preliminary physical tests including taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature. Responsible to ensure information is accurately documented.Prepare equipment, injections, educational materials, etc. during treatment and examination of patients.Perform patient care including cast application/removal, splinting, post-op wound care, injections, fitting patients for braces and suture and staple removal.Communicate with patients and families regarding processes and procedures.Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.Maintain adequate supplies in examination rooms.Maintain accurate and complete patient records.Attend departmental meetings as required.Scribe for providers.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
