Finance Manager

CATHOLIC COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MID-MICHIGAN Put your financial expertise to work for a mission that matters. The Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan is seeking an experienced, organized, and service-minded Finance Manager to join our team. This is more than an accounting position. The Finance Manager plays a key role in safeguarding the financial resources entrusted to the Foundation and helping those resources support Catholic parishes, schools, ministries, and communities throughout Mid-Michigan--today and for generations to come. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance Manager oversees the Foundation's day-to-day financial operations and provides accurate, timely financial information to Foundation leadership, staff, Board members, committees, and other constituents. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Work closely with the grants and endowment department. Develop the annual budget and monitor financial performance. Prepare financial reports, analysis, and projections for leadership and the Board. Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, investments, and investment transactions. Coordinate annual audits, Form 990 preparation, and required financial filings. Ensure accurate and timely processing of gifts, grants, scholarships, donor-advised funds, and other disbursements. Support the Foundation's Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees. Work collaboratively with staff, donors, pastors, Board members, fund holders, professional advisors, and community partners. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant financial experience. CPA certification is a plus, though not required. Nonprofit or foundation experience is preferred but not required. Strong accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong communications, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. High standards of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and service. Experience with CommunitySuite or other nonprofit/fund-accounting systems is a plus. WHY JOIN THE FOUNDATION?
