And we work with colleagues across the business to ensure our products always lead the way.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Senior Director, CTIO Engineering Technologists on our Engineering Technologist Team in Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California.What you’ll achieveIn this role you will lead a team of technologist in the CTIO org who create and evangelize software and hardware IT solutions to some of the largest and most strategic data center customers in the world while also driving industry standards around emerging technologiesYou will:Lead a team of highly skilled SME 's in the development of next generation large scale AI Systems including accelerated compute, AI fabrics and AI optimized storage and AI Software StackResponsibilities include the assimilation and understanding of the industry and competitive environment for a given technology or product line, and the derivation of a technology/product strategy from this information.Leads technology investigations, performs a strategic analysis of the industry capabilities, and develops recommendations, which influence the technical product strategy and/or definition of products for a given product line, including evaluation of potential acquisitions and vendor partner opportunities.Engages design teams, systems engineering, marketing teams, suppliers, and business unit leaders and executives to ensure the strategy or product architecture meets Dell’s requirement of product leadership for the given technology area or product line. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements18 yrs overall experience with 5 years' experience Leading and Directing the strategic and operational objectives of their organization related toHPC (high-performance compute) clusters, AI compute, AI Datacenter, AI Storage etc.AI hardware + software infrastructure and an understanding of the challenges in scaling AI infra including large scale GPU servers, liquid cooling and power, networking, storage, operational challenges with managing and maintaining the infra, etc… along with exposure to AI software layers including Kubernetes, Pytorch, vllm, etc and have an understanding of how AI workloads perform and scale on this infraExperience developing long-term technology strategies based on the technical and business informationDrives for internal and external alignment of the strategy along with developing differentiation opportunities, provides technical information, and makes recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers, and business executivesParticipates as required in strategic initiatives for improvements in process, quality, and costDesirable RequirementsAdvanced Degree such as PhD, Masters or equivalent experienceYour life.
