A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its growing litigation team. This role offers hands-on experience handling complex civil litigation matters while working closely with experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation, with experience in insurance defense, construction litigation, or insurance coverage disputes preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Handle written discovery, document review, and discovery responses.
• Participate in and conduct depositions.
• Support trial preparation, arbitration, mediations, and hearings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case management.
• Gradually assume increased responsibility for independently handling cases.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active North Carolina Bar admission.
• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in developing deposition, courtroom, and trial advocacy skills.
