At Accelleron, we foster diversity and inclusion, welcoming and celebrating individual differences as a source of strength.Your responsibilities:ProductionWork according to working instructions and adhere to regulatory and company OHS policyUse of hand tools, oxygen/acetylene torch, overhead crane and pneumatic/hydraulic toolsUse of metal disintegrating machine, milling machine, taps and dies, grinding wheel and associated repair equipmentTroubleshoot issues with abrasive media blasting cabinets, aqueous cleaning machines and wheel blast machinesPreform preventative maintenance for production equipmentMaintain a clean and proper working environmentParticipate in division and local training programsAdapt to changing requirements, timelines and expectationsSystemUse of laptop and tablet to access working instructions, process documentation and trainings hosted via company intranetUse of Microsoft Office for email, Teams communication, SharePoint and Forms/Power AutomateUse of digital time clock and digital time reporting softwareUse of digital job board for tracking status of REMAN activitiesContinuous improvementContribute to development of activity risk assessmentsParticipate in workshops to discuss opportunities for improvement, both from a process and technology standpointCollaborate with other Accelleron Teams to find methods of increased communication and transparency between cross-functional areasHealth, Safety, and integrity:Follow both independently, and within teams, company guidelines on HSEParticipate in reporting of hazards, near misses and incidentsContribute positively to company safety cultureAdhere to the Accelleron Code of ConductThe outlined responsibilities highlight major aspects of this role, but they are not exhaustive. Additional tasks that are considered reasonable expectations for the position may also be assigned.Your background:High School diploma or GED2+ years of experience in a production environmentWorking knowledge of turbochargers is a plusBackground in engines or similar mechanical systems is a plusPrior experience with industrial machinery and tools is preferredPrior experience with machining is preferredPrior experience with remanufacturing is a plusStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work and contribute within cross-functional teamsSkill using Microsoft Office productsPhysical & Other Demands:Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a standing position 80% of the time to perform various functions of the job.Walk: Walk and move about on foot often through uneven surfaces.Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly use hands/arms to operate various equipment, including hand and power tools and industrial machinery. Must be able to handle objects of various size. Must be able to extends hands and arms in any direction.Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.Talk/hear: Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Communications by phone and in person. Hears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around workspace and to receive communication by phone and in person.See: Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
