Job Details:


• 11-week contract with a varied shift schedule including all shift types
• 48 hours per week with overtime paid after 48 hours worked
• Occasional weekend requirement with holidays as needed and available
• May float to other Michigan and Wisconsin locations as needed
• Can be placed on low census call with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and required documentation of patient care
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and accurately record information on patient charts
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment as appropriate
• Initiate and implement interventions based on established protocols
• Assist with treatments and tests ordered by provider under physician or registered nurse supervision
• Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients in collaboration with physicians and/or registered nurses
• Crew configurations may vary and include EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, or RN/Medic depending on daily staffing
• Utilize Zoll EMS Charts platform for charting (training will be provided)
• Must demonstrate collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group
• Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and perform effectively under stress
• Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions required
• Minimum one year of paramedic experience required; 3 years preferred with interfacility transfer experience
• Associate Degree or Certificate required along with successful completion of an EMS paramedic program
• Required certifications: Michigan Paramedic Certification (NREMT-P eligible for reciprocity), Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, active driver's license in good standing, PALS, AHA BLS, and AHA ACLS
• Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Endorsement preferred
