About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting workers' rights and advancing economic, racial, and gender justice. The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader with a strong background in coalition building and a passion for social change. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading the organization's fundraising strategy, managing relationships with coalition members, and overseeing the development and implementation of campaign strategies. The role also involves organizational and staff management, ensuring effective HR policies, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years' experience in labor and/or community organizing, with a proven track record in foundation fundraising, and a deep commitment to addressing issues of oppression in all forms. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should possess a minimum of 8 years' of experience in labor and/or community organizing, with a preference for those who have worked in a coalition setting. A strong background in nonprofit leadership, particularly in the areas of fundraising and strategy development, is essential. The role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, the ability to handle conflict, and a demonstrated commitment to social justice. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with high emotional intelligence, capable of inspiring and managing a diverse team. Advanced organizing skills, including strategic and political analysis, are also necessary. The Executive Director must be resourceful, able to prioritize and invest in people and systems, and be dedicated to the mission of the organization.
