Registered Nurse - Pediatric Psychiatric Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

36 or 48 hours per week, with day/evening/night rotation, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed.

Join our dedicated team in a child and adolescent unit focusing on patients aged 5-18 experiencing acute mental health crises. We are looking for candidates with a passion for pediatric psychiatry. Our unit emphasizes stabilization through a variety of group offerings, including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups, complemented by psychopharmacological interventions. As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals while ensuring safe, effective, and therapeutic care.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to children and adolescents in mental health crisis.
• Conduct assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support therapeutic interventions.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy activities focused on coping and wellness.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

• Current New York State RN License
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric mental health nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
