Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated physician with a strong commitment to evidence-based occupational medicine, who is eager to grow as a leader. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team that includes physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, health coaches, dietitians, and administrative personnel. The Employee Health Services and Workplace Health clinics operate from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no on-call duties and minimal evening or weekend work .

• Board certification or eligibility in occupational medicine ( preferred ), internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine ( considered ).
• A minimum of three years of experience in occupational medicine; experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine is also acceptable.
• Willingness and capability to practice evidence-based occupational medicine in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Current or future certification as a FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners physician.
• Current or future certification as a Medical Review Officer (MRO).
• Strong understanding of workplace regulatory frameworks, including workers' compensation, transportation regulations, and occupational safety standards.

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, guide, and train both clinical and administrative staff.
• Comfortable managing a balance of two days of direct patient care alongside three days of administrative and leadership responsibilities, including staff development, consultations, and oversight of state and federal contracts.
• Approachable and supportive, fostering a collaborative environment and open communication within the team.
• Excellent communication skills, empathy, and alignment with our organization's values and standards.
• Willingness to engage in and present at educational programs, including CAOHC and NIOSH respirator training.
• Proficient in delivering impactful presentations to both internal and external audiences.
• Able to make strategic, informed decisions that promote program growth and direction.

• Our Workplace Health division provides occupational health services throughout Kennebec and Somerset counties in central Maine, including Augusta, the state capital.
• A significant portion of our work involves collaboration with State of Maine governmental organizations, offering consultation and health surveillance for state employees.
• The program operates several industry site clinics, staffed by medical and nursing professionals, providing team members with exposure to a diverse range of workplace environments and occupational health needs.

Our Workplace Health team serves Kennebec and Somerset counties in central Maine, including Augusta. A large part of our responsibilities involves working with State of Maine governmental organizations, providing consultation and health surveillance for state personnel. We operate multiple industry site clinics staffed by our medical and nursing teams, allowing our staff to experience a stimulating variety of work environments.
