Cyber Security Architect:

Company Overview:

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to help mature and enhance its enterprise cybersecurity program. This role works closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure systems, applications, and infrastructure are designed, implemented, and maintained according to cybersecurity best practices.

The Cyber Security Architect will play a key role in protecting critical business systems, identifying and mitigating risk, improving security posture, and supporting ongoing cybersecurity operations and initiatives.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to support, maintain, and enhance the organization's cybersecurity program. The successful candidate will assess security risks, develop security strategies, implement solutions, and provide technical leadership across a broad range of cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and analyze cybersecurity posture across the organization and recommend improvements.
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, and support vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Plan and deliver security solutions while providing technical guidance and subject matter expertise.
• Research, design, and maintain security architecture for enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and review security requirements for networks, firewalls, VPNs, routers, and related technologies.
• Evaluate business requirements and establish appropriate security controls and protocols.
• Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents and perform post-incident analysis.
• Develop project plans and timelines for security initiatives and system upgrades.
• Assess existing security controls and implement enhancements where necessary.
• Conduct security monitoring, testing, and validation activities.
• Develop and execute security testing procedures and documentation.
• Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT risks, and operating systems.
• Advanced knowledge of security protocols, authentication, encryption, and security frameworks.
• Experience implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Experience deploying and supporting cybersecurity technologies and solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• SSCP certification required; CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes; ITIL certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 3-5 years of Information Security Engineering, Security Architecture, or related cybersecurity experience.
• Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures. xhyhwjd
