Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Mammographer for a position in New York. This role involves performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography, demonstrating competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors. The successful candidate will ensure radiographic images are correctly labeled, evaluated for technical acceptability, and transmitted to the appropriate imaging systems in a timely manner. The position requires ensuring all studies are completed accurately and patient tracking information is properly recorded.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in diagnostic radiography, New York State License to practice as a Diagnostic Radiographer, registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors; experience with medical image management systems such as IDX and PACS
• Additional Information: The role involves accurately recording patient tracking information; familiarity with facility Standard Operating Procedures for radiographic labeling and image transmission is essential. This position may require working with diverse patient populations and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
