The incumbent will report directly to the CMO. The incumbent will be responsible for acting as the company spokesperson on medical and clinical issues and for continuing to work closely with marketing functions requiring clinical/medical translation and manage a global team of Medical Science Liaisons. This scope of work will include interfaces with the commercial team and various appropriate clients of Agendia. This position identifies and develops relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and highly accomplished physicians whose views on breast cancer treatment tend to influence other doctors. Provides detailed knowledge of the organization's new/current products and services. Distributes scientific information and resources to the KOLs. Responsibilities will also include helping to facilitate the ongoing activities of medical communications, clinical trial functions and facilitate the medical marketing programs. This role will participate in the planning and implementation of medical marketing, clinical registry programs and customer service functions aligned to the strategic business needs of the company. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and performance appraisals for the global MSL team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Interfaces with current and new collaborations within the oncology field as required

* Works with managed care in a support role to develop and refine required clinical/ medical documentation to support medical policy for reimbursement.

* Provides support to members of the management team involved in regulatory affairs as required in the preparation of documents and material for presentation.

* Support Agendia's Sales and Marketing efforts, Clinical Trial strategy and clinical utility data development, regulatory and reimbursement activities and client services and support activities.

* Contribute medical and clinical Input to the new product development process.

* Provide support to the Chief Medical Officer for medical marketing plans for product development in cooperation with the Sales and Marketing department.

* Provide support to the Chief Medical Officer for the development, and presentation of medical, clinical and scientific materials to all stakeholders with a significant cooperation with the sales and marketing organizations.

* Present programs to educate appropriate customers about Agendia's diagnostic product offerings such as scientific publications, account in-services, WebEx sessions, scientific presentations, etc.

* Provide statistical and analytic support for medical input for the development of clinical trials/research, data collection, safety and medical information programs

* Assist in the design and implementation of clinical trials and interpretation of results

* Participate in the assessment of clinical data and, in collaboration with Marketing and Regulatory:

* Assist in developing product specific information and communication strategies.

* Cultivate and maintain open and positive relationships with key thought leaders and customers:

* Assist where appropriate with physicians and patients regarding data interpretation

* Present data as appropriate to a wide range of audiences including but not limited to physicians, hospital administrators, and payers within the US

* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the global Medical Affairs function, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and scientific priorities.

* Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing, geographically dispersed Medical Science Liaison team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.

* Teaching, coaching, and mentoring new hires as well as all MSLs is the focus of the role as well as responsibility for creating and executing MSL Training plans with all new hires as well as the entire MSL team.

* Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for global team members

* Responsible for creation and adherence to department budget

EDUCATION

Advanced Clinical/Science Degree is preferred (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MSN, MPH, etc.) Master of Science Degree minimum or higher required

EXPERIENCE

* A minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing geographically dispersed, global Medical Affairs teams across multiple regions, cultures, and time zones.

* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

* Experience in Oncology - Breast cancer and solid tumor preferred

* Knowledge of and experience in Cancer Genomics and Genetics

* Experience in data analytics 5 years min

* Public speaking proficiency

* Global management experience a plus

* Ability to perform detailed, payer-focused market research both domestic and international

* Executive suite presentation experience (CMO, CFO, CEO, President, VP)

* Demonstrated ability to manage teams and stakeholders across diverse cultural, regulatory, and healthcare environments.

* Business planning skills, both strategic and tactical

* Successful track record with molecular diagnostics contracting and medical policy implementation preferred

* Strong understanding of coding and reimbursement for both commercial and government payers

* Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financia1 and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals

* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all members of the organization, customers and external contacts

* Ability to travel with overnights and attendance at some weekend programs

* Ability to translate key scientific information supporting product1 competitors1 science and marketplace to a broad range of Oncology customers

* Advanced knowledge of concepts and practices with the ability to use in diverse business situations

* Ability to complete and implement attainable business plans

* Strong understanding of commercial carrier plan designs state and federal government reimbursement and diagnostic payment channels

* Ability to meet travel requirements of 50-70% by plane, train, car, etc.
