Primary Purpose The Assistant Technical Designer supports the design team in all aspects of the design process, ensuring that product specifications are created, maintained, and passed accurately from concept through production. Responsibilities Work with Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs across all stages of development. Collaborate with designers to ensure all specs reflect the designer’s intent; self‑check sketches and dimensions for accuracy. Assist Technical Designer and Senior Technical Designer with final product spec updates and corrections, ensuring all post‑market changes are approved. Guarantee product specs are consistent across factories and seasons. Review and correct post‑market samples. Create and maintain digital design details and standards libraries. Research product functionality trends in the market. Create CAD and artwork in Illustrator & Photoshop. Organize presentations, set up, clean‑up, and maintain the design workroom. Qualifications Strong communication and email skills. Detailed note‑taking and organizational skills. Construction knowledge preferred. Flexibility to work in‑office as required by the development calendar. 0-3 years of relevant experience. College degree in fashion design or a related field. Illustrator and Photoshop experience required. Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product design AI experience a plus. Microsoft Excel experience a plus. Substance 3D experience a plus.
