Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT MR certification to perform MRI and X-ray procedures in a hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI Tech position with ER experience preferred
• 3x12 hour weekend day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
• Performs MRI procedures including abdomen/pelvis, female/male pelvis, abdominal MRA, head/neck, brain, chest, spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx), spinal trauma, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Performs cardiac MRI with and without contrast
• Equipment used includes Siemens MRI systems
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
• BLS and ARRT MR certification required
• Washington state license required (license required if applicable); compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• ER experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required for consideration
