The Email Marketing Specialist leads the planning, creation, execution, and optimization of email marketing programs across multiple brands and webstores. This role develops promotional, lifecycle, transactional, and behavioral campaigns in Klaviyo, including copy and asset development, segmentation, personalization, quality assurance, testing, deployment, and performance analysis. Working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, the Email Marketing Specialist ensures campaigns support sales goals, customer needs, and brand standards. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, strong project management, and hands-on execution to improve campaign relevance, streamline workflows, and advance the overall email marketing program. Key partners include eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Tasting Rooms, Wine Club, Customer Service, Fulfillment, and vendor partners.

Essential Functions:

• Create and execute promotional, lifecycle, transactional, and behavioral email campaigns in Klaviyo, including copy and asset development, segmentation, personalization, quality assurance, testing, deployment, and post-campaign analysis.
• Evaluate incoming requests strategically by clarifying objectives, identifying opportunities, and recommending solutions that balance business, customer, channel, and brand needs.
• Partner cross-functionally with eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Tasting Rooms, Wine Club, Customer Service, Fulfillment, and vendor partners to align messaging, calendars, requirements, and approvals.
• Manage campaign and content calendars, project plans, tasks, timelines, dependencies, feedback, and approvals using project management tools to ensure clear ownership and on-time delivery.
• Develop compelling, accurate email and supporting digital copy that reflects distinct brand standards and applies relevant SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO) best practices.
• Advance AI-driven segmentation and personalization strategies across a large portfolio of brands and webstores, using customer data, behaviors, lifecycle stages, predictive insights, and campaign performance to deliver more relevant customer experiences.
• Design and execute measurable A/B testing plans to improve campaign relevance, engagement, conversion, and customer experience.
• Monitor and report campaign performance, including engagement and conversion metrics, and provide clear recommendations to improve future campaigns.
• Identify, research, and communicate solutions for deliverability issues and other campaign performance concerns.
• Continuously explore and evaluate emerging AI capabilities, tools, and optimization opportunities that can improve audience targeting, content development, testing, productivity, workflow efficiency, and email marketing performance, while applying sound judgment and appropriate quality controls.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines with minimal oversight while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comply with applicable industry laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Required: 2+ years of email marketing experience.
• Preferred: experience within the wine, hospitality, or beverage alcohol industry and experience managing email marketing programs across multiple brands and eCommerce storefronts.
• Hands-on experience creating and executing campaigns in Klaviyo or a comparable email marketing platform.
• Experience developing segmentation and personalization strategies for a multi-brand portfolio or eCommerce business; familiarity with AI-driven personalization, predictive segmentation, or marketing automation optimization is preferred.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools and cross-functional workflows for tasks, feedback, timelines, and approvals.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to apply SEO and GEO principles while maintaining brand voice and standards.
• Proficiency with eCommerce and analytics platforms such as Commerce7 and Google Analytics 4, along with Microsoft Office Suite and Photoshop.
• Understanding of eCommerce KPIs, email performance metrics, testing methodologies, deliverability, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality assurance, accuracy, and consistency.
• Clear, concise, and proactive written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into actionable plans and recommendations.
• Strategic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset, with strong organization, curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated interest in exploring AI-enabled optimizations, testing new approaches, evaluating results, and translating emerging capabilities into practical improvements.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment, onsite office requirement Monday – Thursday, WFH on Fridays

Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
