Line CookThe Courtyard Restaurant in Brecksville is now hiring for a Line Cook position. Open from 11 am for lunch and dinner, no breakfast. Made from scratch kitchen. Available shifts are 11a-3p or 2 pm to close, no late hours, up to 5 shifts per week available with benefits. Will start immediately. Line cooks require excellent knife skills, knowledge of food safety, and proficiency with kitchen equipment, and soft skills, like strong communication, teamwork, organizational ability, speed, stamina, and attention to detail to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:Basic written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational skillsAccuracy and speed in executing tasksAbility to work as a team memberFollows directions and instructionsCooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GEDOne to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook preferred but not mandatoryExperience with various cooking methods and proceduresFamiliar with industry best practicesApplicants with high volume or casual dining line cook experience preferred.
