Senior Operating Room Technologist III (Tier 3)

Overland Park, KS | Full-Time | Mixed Schedule (Rotating Weekends)
Annual Salary Range: $56,000 to $93,600 (commensurate with experience and certification)
Shift Differentials: +$3 Nights | +$3 Weekends | On-Call Pay: $3/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 | Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
On-Call Requirement: Must reside within 30 minutes of facility

Position Summary

Were hiring an experienced Operating Room Technologist III (Tier 3) to join a busy surgical team in Overland Park, Kansas . This senior-level technologist role supports multiple specialties including robotics, orthopedics, neuro/spine, vascular, and burn.

As a Tier 3 technologist, you will be a go-to expert for complex and high-risk cases working side-by-side with top surgeons and mentoring newer team members. What You will Do

• Prepare operating rooms, instrumentation, and supplies for complex surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure seamless intraoperative coordination.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all equipment functions safely and effectively.
• Take the lead on advanced procedures in robotics, vascular, or hybrid room environments.
• Mentor junior surgical technologists and share best practices.
• Support multidisciplinary teamwork among surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when called.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) NCCT
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience in a high-acuity hospital setting
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Preferred:

• 5+ years of experience in a major surgical center
• Leadership or preceptor experience
• Specialized training in robotic or vascular surgery
